Hi there,
As I sit here on my couch with the fire warming me up rather than a heater, I reflect on all of the ways in which I am taking part in homesteading. Homesteading meaning, to live in harmony with the land and off of the land. On my kitchen counter, I have 4 gallons of my special Kombucha tea brewing, 10 Liters of Sauerkraut fermenting, 10 different types of seeds sprouting, 5 trays of Kale dehydrating, chicken broth cooking as well as 6 eggs which hatched from my chickens who are fed with left over scraps from dinner. Those scraps are split with the worms who also need food to eat which turns into soil which then feeds my veggie garden the nutrients it needs to grow as plentiful as possible. This is homesteading. I have consciously worked to get to this point where I have found ways in which to get in touch with the most natural ways to live and I will continue to do so as I attain my goal of living off of the land. I do this while I raise my three children with my awesome husband, Bryan and run two businesses. One of them is this business of helping people live a more balanced, grounded, organic existence, naturally while educating others on ways to easily live a holistic, healthy life. The other is a trading group developed to help the community in which I live learn to use the resources within the community to survive. We trade with skills, items, etc. It is my intention to teach people what I know and have learned in order to help them attain a more holistic life.
With love always!
