Hi there,
  My husband helped out in the garden of a local urban homesteading family and in return they gave him a bunch of cabbages.  When he brought them home, I thought, what can I do with all of this cabbage? Well, of course, ferment it into sauerkraut, put in jars and store it.  Well, its been 2 weeks now and I just pulled the ceramic lid off , took off the pressing stones and tasted the cabbage.  Amazing! It tasted just like Sauerkraut...wait, it is Sauerkraut!  I love when I experiment and I get it right! I have decided to leave it in for another week to continue fermenting. Once I have mastered it, I will share my recipe! 

I am really looking forward to having Sauerkraut in my fridge all the time.  There are so many benefits to eating Sauerkraut.  It is an immune booster, a cancer fighter, a digestive aid and a flu fighter. I believe that a healthy body results in a healthy mind which equals a healthy, happy life.
